The Magiontology Society Archives are where all the Society’s information is concentrated. Most of it is kept in carefully dusted volumes on the many shelves in the Society house, but some was made available here, and more will be added regularly.
The archives have three collections: the Magion Archives, where information and studies of magions can be found; the Magical History Archives the collect information regarding figures and events relating to magic as well as descriptions of encounters with magions; and finally an archive dedicated to the Magiontology Society itself, its history and function.
The Magiontology Society has information about magions that was collected over centuries. Originating from studies, grimoires, encounters and, of course, the magions themselves. Here in the Magion Archives, this information has been organized in two forms: short records that include only basic and vital information, and longer files, that delve into the history and biology of a species.
Within the history of our world is weaved a secret magical history. It is usually far less grand and only meets general history in dark corners the edges of maps. The study of magical beings, and magic in general, and its history are fairly recent, but are at the center of this Society. In the compendium you can find some of the key figures, magical or otherwise, in magic history and in the development of magiontology. This archive also holds records of known magical ancestry lines and communities, as well as known groups that study or hunt magic. Finally, you will find an account of encounters with magions, as reported by humans and magic-folk alike.
The Magiontology Society is an organization dedicated to the study and protection of magions. It is the current form and title of a long lasting network of magions, magical and non-magical folk that has been active in some from for centuries.
