Structure of the Magiontology Society
The Magiontology Society current form utilizes a network of connections between magions, magic-folk and the rare human, which developed over more than a century (see History of the Society). This structure can be seen as a continuation of the Magion Protection Accords (1983) and the establishment of the Magiontology Archives (1985), bringing under one roof the main bodies of magion aid and knowledge. The Society aims to be a hub for the magical community, where any request for information or assistance can be answered.
The current structure of the Society includes agents, who actively pursue these goals on full time basis; associates, who occasionally assist the agents; and members, who join to learn more about magions and support the growth of the Society.
The agents of the Magiontology Society, informally known as “the familiars", are its core and run most Society activities. The number of agents, currently five, is kept purposely low because they are exposed to vast magion knowledge, including many highly kept secrets.

Note: The original plan of the Society Structure only named Idris and Mabyn as representatives of the Society, with Idris as head archivist and Mabyn as head of operations. The position of agent only made sense after the Geist twins joined the society, which raised the number of full-time associates from one (Griffin) to three.
If the agents are the core of the Magiontology Society, associates are its eyes and ears, and occasionally also land a helping hand.
Most associates are magions, with a few magic-folk and even fewer human exceptions. Many associates have been guardians under the Magion Protection Accords (1983) and continue their work under a new title.
In many cases, the associates come from familial lines that had long acquaintance with the Society, already in its former forms. The Society is in contact with numerous groups and individuals, but associates have a closer and more regular relationship to the Society. They often serve as go-between with specific areas or communities, and also assist the agents on specific missions when required.
